Hello from John Link in New York City

After 15-year hiatus from cycling, I've been riding a Centurion Iron Man through Central Park about three times each week. I feel rather unsafe riding the four-lanes-of-traffic-in-one-direction avenues in Manhattan so from my home in Chelsea I ride straight west to the bike path along the West Side Highway which I take north to 58th Street, after which I head straight east to the park.

During high school in Chicago, maybe 1970 or 1971, I bought a 10-speed Mercier that I took on several camping trips, lasting anywhere from a weekend to two weeks. I rode that bike until 1995. Shortly after I moved to New York the Mercier was stolen from my basement. The Centurion is a bike my brother Greg got when he worked at the Bike Route in Chicago. I'm glad to be riding again.

I make my living teaching the Feldenkrais Method, helping people with all sorts of difficulties to learn to move easily and comfortably. I also teach singing. I'm a composer, arranger, guitarist, and vocalist and have released three CDs, all of which are available at cdbaby.
