Vintage Schwinn Road Bike Fan

Hello from San Francisco,

I recently purchased a 1973 Schwinn Sports Tourer. This is the bike I always wanted as a teenager (but could not afford). This bike had all of the original components except the rear rim. That was OK, the front and rear rim needed replacing to properly work with replacement tires so I had new wheels built with U.S designed "Sun Rims" and the original Schwinn Hubs. It has the original Nervar (France) crankset, Brooks B15 Saddle (Britain), Weinmann center pull brakes, Randonneur handlebars and the Shimano Le Tour Detailleur. This bikes really moves and is a blast to ride. Picture attached.

I have enjoyed skimming through the Bike Forum and decided to join up.

Cheers and welcome to Forums, comet4c. Nice bike you have there!

To err is human. To moo is bovine.

Who is this General Failure anyway, and why is he reading my drive?
