Long time lurker, first time poster

Hello all.

I've looked at the Introductions forum a few times, and I always wonder, does any read this stuff?

I hadn't riden a bike since I was a young kid. I never got into riding as a kid because my family was very sedentary (and my mother kept putting the training wheels back on, which makes riding the bike very embarrasing).

About four years ago I started riding again as part of my job, and I loved it.
After that I spent a couple years bike commuting.

I moved a few months ago, and between moving and a promotion I haven't spent much time riding, but I'm trying to get to know the area and spend more time on the bike.

Hmm

I don't know if that's always true.

I wanted to reply to this thread

https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...light=security

but after reading the first couple pages I figured my input would be about as welcome as advice from the dentist after a root canal.
I'll give you one guess what I do for a living.

Hi there! I posted my own greeting to the forum, thinking myself mildly clever in coming up with the topic, and then saw yours. Not only did you beat me to the punch, but your title is more clever also!
