Newb Here, Old guy

Used to race a little back in the day Around Denver Colorado. Currently working off and on in PNWet, Everett.
I'm riding my old team bike, Pinarello Treviso Italia, (Denver Spoke).
Raced with them and GS Cicla Vita, but mostly worked as a motorcycle official/marshal.

The usual old story, out of shape much larger than when I raced. Got back to it to drop some girth and mass, hasn't really happened too much. Also ride an old Rocky Mountain mountain bike I've updated a bit. The squishy forks are too long but I'm not going to spend a lot on anything else and it gets me to the beach and back, (58 miles) when I'm home.

Welcome Mr_Head to Bike Forums.
I started road riding at age 65.
How old is your old.

mr_head 07-20-10 05:21 PM

I'm 57. So, not so old I guess. But, I make up for it by being out of shape.
Once I get back to the hotel tonight, (business travel), I'll pull the bike out of the storage closet and take a spin.

Ride slow.

No problem riding slow. Last ride was about a week ago I did 32 miles over and along a bike path up here, and back to the hotel. The night before we had done about 38 miles along the Centennial Trail. Really nice ride.

Thanks guys I'll check it out. I find a good P&S camera is nice to have around. I spend a lot of time on motorcycles and every chance I get out on either bike. I have dirt three miles form the house back home and a river trail that goes to the ocean. Life is indeed good. Here in the PNWet, where I have spent most of this year I've found plenty of paved riding, so first of June the old roadie came up with me on the plane.
