Hi there,
A new member, with a lot of miles on the frame, metaphorically.
Been cruising around on a 29-inch Ridgeback "comfort" bike. Somewhat of a present euphemism, since my "seat" needs some "breaking-in".
Dealing with puncture vines, aka "goatheads". I have 4 tubes for quick changes, but I surmise an investment in Slime products, tubes & liners, may be in order.
Can anyone speculate whether the kevlar liners are worth the additional expense?
Slime liners (polyurethane)are about five bucks, while the "Pana"-something kevlars are about $15.00-per-wheel, and I don't know whether they are long enough for the 29-inch tires.
Other than this environmental annoyance, we have a great trail system along the Yakima & Naches River confluence. Very scenic, but STAY ON THE PAVEMENT!!

I had Performance Bike kevlar tires on my road bike for 3 years and had maybe 3 flats in that time. Unfortunately they don't make the kevlar tires any more so I got some different ones that weren't kevlar but supposedly puncture-resistant. I got a flat from a goathead on my first ride. I hadn't thought of getting kevlar liners, but I think I'll invest in some this weekend.

Thanks for the welcome, CR.
I visited one of my LBS's, and was advised to just use the sealant tubes, and not bother with the liner, as they may shift around inside the tire. Sorry, but "belts & suspenders" make a better pre-emptive strike & disaster control. I think I'll do both.
Got crazy with buying bags, racks, computer, & lights, earlier today on FleaBay. Can't resist a bargain.
