Hello cycle community, my name is david and i am from north carolina...
i own three bikes and each are unique, well actually 4 but im going to give it to my bro because my gf questions why i have 4 bikes and asks where am i goin to put them all....IN HER ASS i say...
anyways i own a mountain bike, a fixed gear road bike and a 1970 raleigh "sports" bike
the 1970 raleigh was my grandfathers and is wartime green, i had new sturmey archers gears put on it, new cables, new brooks sadle, and had the 3 speed internal hub re-vamped...it works pretty well and looks nice after i shined it up! but ouch its to small for me and it hurts my back...the damn expensive sadle is too hard for my buM!!!!
my moutain bike is a 2001 "sobe" edition cannondale, its pretty sweet considering i got this promotional bike FA FREE!! from my uncle..when he let me have it he had been through some recent surgerys and was a little loopy on some pills and was like here david, lets lube up the chain so itll ride smooth. he then breaks out is chain saw oil, flips the bike upside down and starts peddaling the bike with his hand while he LIBERALLY applied the oil...it was a constant stream of oil for about 20 seconds. then he said "that should be good enough!! remember to lube it up when it gets dry!!".....when it gets dry, your so funny uncle brice.
my third and newest bike(my baby) i bought from halcyon bike shop in nashville tn, its a sweet fixed gear track bike..it has mostly origin8 parts on it and they said that it was an origin8 frame but it was one solid color. but who the hell cares anyways this thing freakin MOVES!!! ive done a few more mods to it myself and i was super excited to ride again the other day, a friend and i decided to ride and then stop at the "raleigh times" raleigh is where i live in NC and the times is a bar we go to eat and drink. i decided to have a few drinks and a shot with lunch and then i rode back home on my new baby..GRRREEAT DECISION!!!!.OH the joy i was having and i was only block away from the end. I ROunded a corner and to my horror i drive strait into a person in a minivan cross over HEAD ON!!! OH NO I can stop the fixie!!!! so needless to say i need a new track fork....which i will now post on a another thread for suggestions, if you cant find where i post here are my specs..
i need a 45mm 1 1/8in threadless track fork for a 700c size wheel, any suggestions?
