Hello! I keep buying old Schwinns but want an old Raleigh!
OK, so I've been buying bikes like I used to have... and I'm old enough to have had a few! In high school in southern California, in the midst of of 10-speed fever, I rode a single speed red Firestone that I could - and did - leave just about anywhere on its kickstand, unlocked, because (you guessed it) no one wanted anything to do with it! I now have 1970's vintage Schwinns, a Suburban and a Collegiate, even a 1980's World Tourist, but what I really really want is a big, shiny black Raleigh long wheel base, 28-inch wheel loop frame... I"ve got it bad. I've even ridden new Electras, Gazelles and Azors, trying to get that same ride like buttah... but I want the Raleigh! I know the rod brakes are scary. I don't care. Will this pass? Is there hope for me?

Wow, you got it bad.
I know there is one out there somewhere.
Keep searching.

Yup. And I'm stuck in the Dallas suburbs trying to find a way to park the car and go for a ride every day, every errand I can. I need to stop with the old Schwinns and get serious about my one true love...
