Hello, my name is Rookie & I'm a recovering runner

I've been run-free for 150 (give or take a few) days now. I don't run now because of problems with my left foot. I'll probably never run again... unless I'm being chased by a mountain lion or something. But if that's the case, running won't help me much- I was slow before the injury and I'm even slower now!

I was devastated when my podiatrist told me to stop running. After a few days of mourning, and the encouragement of my husband, I decided to give biking a try. I'm very, very new to this sport/hobby... but it is lots of fun. I like that I don't feel like I've beaten myself up after a ride, like I used to feel after running.

That's about it! I've got lots to learn about biking, but then that's why I'm on this forum.

Sorry about the foot.
Good thing you have found riding to be fun.
Ride slow, ride safe.

Novara Express XX

Nice bike. What color is it?
