Help date my Nishiki & front fork needed

A few days ago I was at a website that helped to date ( approximately ) older Nishiki bikes by their numbers stamped on the bottom of the frame. I have a Nishiki Sport that had an unfortunate accident, and now I am trying to find a few parts to put it back on the road. I need a front fork; but I bought a Nishiki fork that is too short which could be modified with parts from the original fork and some creative welding and made to fit. This will be a last resort. Back to the top -- I did not bookmark the website and can't find it now; any help out there? My Nishiki has no numbers stamped under the crankset; only the letters ' W T A ' Thanks in advance and email to [email protected]
