Hi, I'm new here

I found this forum by googling World Voyageur & it looks cool so I just signed up.

I grew up in the Milwaukee area, now I'm in Ohio.

My bike history...
Schwinn Varsity - had my first touring experience with sleeping bag but I didn't own a tent. Of course it rained that night.

1973 World Voyageur - first "good" bike. I upgraded it piece by piece until the only things left were the crank arms & seatpost.

I discovered the League of American Wheelmen, club rides, proper touring, centuries, etc...

1981 Trek 700 - finally it was time to upgrade the frame, so I swapped everything from the Voyageur:
Phil Wood hubs, bottombracket, pedals
Campy Record brakes, front derailleur, seatpost
Cinelli bars
Huret Duopar (Ti) rear derailleur

(rode like that forever meanwhile working & having kids)

2010 Fuji carbon Team Pro
(can't afford a Ferrari for a midlife crisis)
