Cheers from Claremont, CA

Hi, folks.
I just started riding on New Years Day this year and quickly fell in love with it. I had a 1987 Trek 840 for that first ride and I worked very hard to keep up with a group of women with shiny road bikes. After trying one of their bikes, I bought a Trek 1.5 (much easier!) and I've been riding almost every week since then. I did my first organized ride of 56 miles on Valentines Day in Palm Springs and am preparing for my first metric century in November. Expect to find me most often in the 50+ forum learning lots from my fellow "master' cyclists there.

Welcome to Bike Forums, Pam! There is also a women's forum you can gain access to after you have at least 50 posts (you need that number in order to send a PM). Contact Siu Blue Wind (administrator) to get access.

And stop by the Southern California regional forum and say hello.
