Newbie From Northern Va/ Richmond VA

my name is Andy, i live in northern va but am currently at school down in richmond. Started off riding to work out and riding around with friends. Currently riding a Trek 3700 as a daily commute to and from school and other places around town. I am still new to everything and not to familiar with the bike and would love to build one myself. My plan is to keep my current bike and build a road bike to enjoy and work out on.

I have been looking around and asking for info and advices on different forums but I haven't received any helpful or serious answers. Found this forum and it looks like it has a little of everything from mtb to fixed gear bikes.

anyone local that would like to teach me a little something i am down to learn.

thanks and hopefully i'll meet some of you guys and stay on this forum..
