Hello from Washington, DC

Hi, my name is Chris and I live and work in Washington, DC. I've been biking for a long time, actually, ever since I can remember but have gotten more serious about it in the past few years. I currently have a 2007 Jamis Coda Comp which I have been upgrading over the years and have come on this forum both to get advice on that as well as advice on a new bike that I hope to build in the near future.

Current bike: 2007 Jamis Coda Comp (Upgrades: wheels (Velocity Synergy rims laced to Ultegra hubs), tires (Infinity Armadillo), rear cassette (Shimano XT 11-32), seat post (Thompson Elite), seat (Brooks B-17), pedals (Dimension), headset (Chris King threadless))

Hopefully I'll be upgrading my crankset soon and then I think I'll be satisfied with this current bike as my commuter and will move on to building a new one (probably a fixed gear). Anyway, nice to meet you guys!

Not that far- probably about 3 miles each way in the city.

But I pretty much ride wherever I go these days. That is, unless it is pouring rain like it is today. I'm not quite that hardcore... yet.
