Newbie in San Antonio, TX area
 

Hello to all,

I've decided to take the plunge and get back into road riding again. I used to be an active rider in the 90's until I had a series of 3 accidents (hit by vehicles). I sidelined myself from the sport after the last accident when my neck was broken. :cry:

I am now ready to try again and to be honest, I really want to get in better shape. I visited Jack and Adam's cycle shop in Austin, TX today and I was really pleased with the experience. The gentleman at the store was very helpful and answered all of my questions. He showed me their Felt line of road bikes and I plan to demo a couple of bikes next week and see what works best. I do know one thing - a lot has changed since I last rode!

My near term goal is that I hope to accompany my father-in-law on the MS150 from Houston to Austin in April.

I look forward to learning from all of the veteran riders on here and hopefully meet a few of you on the upcoming Texas rides.
