Hello from the Adirondack Mountains of New York
Yes, the Adirondacks - you know, where the Olympics were held in 1980, Lake Placid. I'm in southeast area, nearer Lake George, near Loon Lake. Moved back here from Loveland, Ohio five years ago. Good roads here, nice drivers, bad hills.
I have broad cycling interests. Currently, I'm leading an effort to do a rail trail. On an interesting old mining railway that goes from a small hamlet (North Creek) into the magical, remote, historic area known as Tahawus - the foot of the highest peaks, the source of the Hudson River. I'm also the guy behind bikecalculator.com - popular cycling calculators since 1997. I just introduced an app for iPhone/iPod/iPad. It's free, so I don't think it counts as spam if I link to it:

Another accomplishment is having race photos published in VeloNews. Quite a thrill to have your name printed next to Graham Watson, and sharing a motorcycle with Casey Gibson (not at the same time, of course). I mostly do weddings and portraits nowadays.
I ride an old Cannondale R900 (with a new compact group for the bad hills), and recently got a 29'er to replace a decrepit Pro-Flex Animal.
