Hi everyone, The wife and I are new to biking are looking forward to getting started soon. I sold our Walmart bikes and have been test riding every brand of comfort/hybrid made. The has hers picked out but I'm not sure yet. we hope to be out in the next week. We are both 56 and want to ride many different trails in florida.

she is getting the Specialized Crossroads sport in rose color and I cant choose between the crossroads elite(trigger shifters), Jamis Citizen 3(narrower tires) with very comparable components and the bike I really like the Jamis Allegro 3 with the carbon fork and flat bars its a very light and quick bike. I have breathing problems at times and I'm worried about the leaning over along with the higher cost.

Get the one you like.
Leaning should make breathing better.
It does for me.

It will take you about 500 miles to get your core and legs ready to be faster on it.
You will go through some pain to get there.

Just rest, take a day off when you need too.
