Newbie in Rome

Hey everyone,

In the great tradition of forums, I'm here to find clever answers to all of my stupid questions, and maybe, just maybe, provide an answer or two myself.

I'm an ex-pat living in Rome, so if anyone wants to meet up for a spin or for beer and bike talk, get in touch.

Hey. Thanks. I moved over here with only my trusty Felt hybrid (fairly stock, apart from some small upgrades). Am in the market for an old steel-frame (as per my other post) to mess around with ... and to ride proudly to L'Eroica later in the year. Selection of unwanted 60s/70s/80s Italian beauties here is head-spinning.

Hey AS,

I was in Rome two summers ago. Great place for so many reasons: art, history, food, people, and cycling (maybe?). See the thread I posted recently: https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...highlight=rome.

Anything look familiar in my writeup or pics? One thing I didn't include in all that was a visit to a friend who lives out near the coast (west), near the airport. The roads out there look great for riding, but I only saw one cyclist the whole time I was there. I dream of going back for a bike vacation.

Follow up on my previous email: where'd you find the old-steel frames around Rome?

AS,

You may be in the same boat as I am. Newbies on this forum cant PM until you've made 50 posts/responses etc. Sorta looks like you can, but the message doesn't get sent. You can email me at phurt60@gmail.com.

Thanks

Good luck in Rome. Would be the greatest city in the world if it didn't have such bad traffic.
