Adventurous Riders (Portland/Corpus Christi)
My work has temporarily relocated me to the Corpus Christi/Portland area for the next ~7 months.
Looking to meet-up with some like minded cyclists. I’m no racer or roadie, and I’m just out there to have fun on 2 wheels. I enjoy challenging and long rides, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy yourself along the way. The best rides have a little bit of adventure to them, whether that be an unknown dirt road or a stop at a rough looking bar for cold beer.
Bonus points for gravel road rides, bar rides, or fixed gear steel bikes, but I’ll ride with anyone.
More about me? Here’s a photo project that I did in 2009 with a photo for every day that I rode bikes:

Best bet to check with the local bike shops in Corpus.

Hi Jon,
You might post in the "Texas" subforum also. But based on past experience, you probably won't find too many forum people from one area unless it's a big metropolitan area.
For "long rides", check into randonneuring. I just did a ride with Houston Randonneurs, which I expect is the closest group.

Hey, Jon not sure if you have found and roadies yet. But, a couple buddies and I like to ride once in a while. We are also part of a "not so serious biker gang" known as The SpokesPeople. If you haven't heard of us you can check it out on the facebook or their website. Anyways we have rides every other Wednesday, as well as, various weekend events.
My buddies and I are training for Conquer The Coast and have been trying to fit in 20+ milers a couple times a week. Always looking for others to ride.

I am Javier also in Corpus Christi looking to ride 10-20 miles, not fast but steady.
Adding bicycling to my work commute mainly for fitness and fun in addition to less environment footprint.
I have looked into SPOKES People but haven't had a chance to meet them.
Lets meet up to ride sometime!
