New from KC Area....
I'm a long-time road-biker who just raised 4 sons over 25 years and am getting back into the hobby with my new 2011 Specialized Elite Apex... I'm actually picking up the bike from my local tomorrow!
Anyway, I'm 60, retired and looking forward to the ride.
Here's the bike... He's tuning it today.....

I also spent 200 bucks to protect my brain.........

Welcome to Bike Forums.
Good choice in a bike.
I picked up the cousin (Specialized Tarmac Elite w/Apex) to your bike a few days before Christmas. Still trying to get used to the Apex shifters when doing standing hill climbs.

Stop by the 50+ forum and say hello to the old timers. I'm one of them. I'm 66.
