Today in Sebring a number of people are trying to qualify for RAAM
At my age I'd have do 400 miles in 24 hours, I can't stay awake for 24 hours
Anyhow in bike store looking at a Giant TCX. Tires (700x35) full of a pimply surface texture. Will road surfaces destroy that casing in mud and grass. Wondering

Welcome gearbuzz.
I had a 2007 Giant TCX. Sold it last year. Great bike for on or off road riding.
The tires are good for off road. You can ride on the road with them but the knobbies on the tires may give you a bumpy ride.
FYI: The TCX is a cyclocross bike -- designed for off road riding -- but as I said, it makes a great road bike if you swap the tires.
The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. - Psalm 103:8

I am a cyclist. I am not the fastest or the fittest. But I will get to where I'm going with a smile on my face.
