Hello from Niagara, Ontario...

hi everyone,

Been reading the forums in the past - google searching for Classic bikes frequently finds good results and great info here. Time to join and post. :)

My name is Roberto, I am in the Niagara region of Ontario, Canada. I love older bikes, currently almost all of mine are 20+ years old, and going strong. Very happy with my Celeste green Bianchi Trofeo (circa late 80's, early 90's I guess), it's the best and most responsive bike I ever had.

I am involved with a local touring club, and am interested in longer rides, made many good friends in the short time since I joined. Look forward to much reading in these forums, there's a lot of very knowledgeable people and no lack of new posts. :P

Thank you!

Welcome to the forums Roberto. Have you heard about the Great Lake to Lake Classic? It's usually held on Father's Day.

:)

Thanks, guys.

gurry, yes, I have seen their web page - http://www.laketolake.ca/, a friend of mine here is participating; but I don't ride off-road much, just light trails with my Winter bike. This is what I found on their page, about the course :

Course Description (50 Km):

10 km of gravel and dirt roads, 10 km of double track, 25 km of single track, 5 km of paved roads (exact course will depend on race day's weather conditions). Approximate finish time: 2-5 hours.
Should be a fun event though. :)
