Hello from Vancouver, B.C., Canada

Greetings,

I've been lurking in the forums for about six months, but finally decided to register due to the Kryptonite debacle. Haven't been riding at all lately since I blew my knee at work. I've now gone completely out of shape due to inactivity, but hope to get back on my feet (and on my bike) in the Spring.

Welcome to the forums Demolition! I have partially blown one of my knees. I cannot run comfortably and climbing steps can be painful. I have found (in my case) that when I ride on a regular basis, the muscles around my knee seem to better support the injury and I have fewer problems in the pain dept. But when I lay off of riding (such as now), the problems with pain return. I have a neighbor who experiances the same with his "blown" knee.

Many welcomes! I've been in your shoes (knee injury had me off the bike for 6 months), and it's a real bummer. However, I am proof that you will be back, and it will be that much sweeter when it happens.

Good luck on your recovery!

Gus Riley & bac,

Thanks for the friendly welcome!

It's encouraging to hear that you both managed to get back on your bikes after your injuries. Gives me some hope that I'll be able to do the same thing after my own recovery.

Hi Demolition, I'm in Vancouver too. Get well soon, and maybe I'll run into you (not literally) on the road someday.
