Dozerdude her , new to forum. Not new to mtb. I'm 50 years old. The last time I owned a mtb was four years ago when I was working in Wyoming. I weighed 315lbs when I went up their. I bought another mtn bike
for something to do as I was away from my familly ni lost 65lbs in 2 months. When I came home my freinds and co workers didn't recognize me. My wife was overwhellmed.

Well for the last 4 years I have been running a dozer at night for 12 hrs 6 nights a week. They have cutt us back to 40 hrs a week mon threw fri. It's time to buy another mtb and get back to enjoying life and good health again.

I'm out of the bike seen and need to be caught up.

I need a mtn that is more for dirt roads and highway use. Smooth ride , ride for 5 to 8 hrs at a time. I am use to Deore xt. Have had xtr but prefer XT.

Have owned several Aluminum bikes. Cannondale ect. Have not tried Carbon fiber. Don't know if even need to go that radical. I want front suspension and hard tail. Racks front and rear. For camping and long treks. Would like longer front rake with oversized frame. Any great ideas would be welcome. I ride a 18" to 19". Thanx

Seeing that you essentially want to ride a mountain bike (or maybe a hybrid with front suspension), you might try posting your question about longer rake in MTB forum.
