Vintage Bruce Gordon Chinook

This is my first post and don't know much about road bikes but when I see vintage bikes(any bikes) at great prices I usually pick them up. I just picked up a Chinook road bike, 56 centimeter with the serial number being CO1984. After doing some research I have come to the conclusion it is a Bruce Gordon Chinook. From what I understand he built 101 of these framesets. It has all Campy Super Record components with Cinelli stem and bars. The bike is in fantastic condition that has a purple fade paintjob with a signature on the left chainstay that says "Cycle Art, Cad 1 finish, Chula Vista, Ca. all in a cool design. If anyone else has some info on these hand crafted framesets I would appreciate some input. Can I post pictures on this site from photobucket?

Welcome to Bike Forums!

You can use Photobucket to post photos, just copy and paste it with the [img] tags.

You might post photos of your bike in the Classic & Vintage forum, I'm sure they can answer your questions.

I have a BG chinook that I purchasted from Bruce Gordon in 84. I lived one block from his old Eugene OR. shop. Bruce built every one of the chinooks him self. He had one guy helping him with finish work. The frame was made with a combo of Columbus SP and SL tubing depending on size. I have riden my Chinook for almost 30 years and hope to ride it for another 30. Bruce Gordon has a reputation as a old grouch, but Bruces aditude doesen't afect the ride or the beautiful craftmenship of his bikes.
