Greetings from Frankfurt Germany
I have just spent the last two years here in Germany and thought it wise to purchase a bike and take advantage of the abundant bike trails. It has been a ride! I acquired a BodyTech mountain bike off E-Bay.de and have taken full advantage of what spare time I had to enjoy the county side on the well maintained trails.
In a week I am heading home to central British Columbia Canada and am hooked on pursuing the passion I acquired here. I am looking into a hybrid- quite a bit lighter than what I am riding presently. I still want and need to go off road. Most of the lakes of northern B.C. are accessible via logging roads which requires a bike that can handle the abuse I will be dishing out.. I am getting older (61 now) and need something that gives me more return on my somewhat reduced energy levels. I posted my interest in the hopes of getting some good suggestions as to what I should be looking at.
I am an outdoor enthusiast and spent many summers canoeing the lakes and rivers of B.C. now I being retired, I have more time to add cycling to my interests. I am looking forward to getting some good ideas while following the forums. Looks like a great site!
