Greeting from Central Illinois
I have been lurking on this forum for awhile and have learned so much from what has been posted. Thanks in large part to tips I read here, I completed my first century yesterday on my trek 7.3. I had wanted to to complete a century for 24 years. My beloved trek 1000 was stolen 23 years ago and then family and work obligations took me away from cycling. Last year, after a dear friend died, I decided life is short and in my friends memory, I would meet this goal. I ended up purchasing a hybrid (for many reasons) and have been happily riding it ever since.

Welcome to Bike Forums. Congrats on the century.
You replaced your Trek 1000 with a hybrid?
