Back to bikin
Have biked since a kid, I'll be 49 this year, kids don't need as much of my time, so now it's back to some ME!
Trek Hybrid out on the road more now (hybrid cause we camp a lot). Over past few weeks have realllly gotten into the road ride more.
Look forward to the second half of my life and biking..figured to end it with what I started it with...riding a bike.
So much to learn but am enjoying it. Just got me some toe clips..WOW..lil things like that I have to learn that makes things more efficient.
Thanks for the forum.

Welcome to Bike Forums.
You're still in the first half of your life. The second half starts around 60.
Toe clips.
I call those things "death traps". Gave up on them in the late 80s. I've used clipless since.
I see your name is tnbike. Are you from TN? If so, stop by the Southeast Regional subforum. Lots of TN folks there.

Yea, I'm stepping gently into this bike gig or I'd run out and just buy those clipless pedals and shoes. one thing at a time. I was very happy to see how much easier it was and I can feel the added power on the upstroke with the toeclips. nice. I live in a hilly area so it really helped.
Quick toeclip funny: I thought you guys used those toeclips/clipless setups cause your feet slipped off the pedals. I thought I was gifted in that my feet didn't slip off. LOL. Then I found out what they were for.

Thanks
