Hi I'm Steve I'm just 60 and 40 years ago raced bikes! No chance now but would like to at least try to ride a a few miles every now and again, I ride a motorcycle so still side with two wheelers. My partner has just bought herself a Giant hybrid Dash 1, so short rides together would be good: if I can keep up!! I was contemplating a Boardman as they still resemble bikes I used to race, as against the modern slopping frame designs. Then I found an old Claud Butler in the roof space of my daughters outhouse and now I am totaly besotted with finding out what it is and if it's worth spending money on. I raced a Harry Quinn frame with begged, borrowed and reused parts between '67 & '72 sold it when baby came along, should have kept baby and bike and sold wife!!! I work for myself and don't have a great deal of free time to peruse these pages but any help with info on Claud would be greatly appreciated!!
The clock of life is wound but once and no man has the power, to tell just when the hands will stop at late or early hour. Now is the only time you own. So live, love, toil with a will. Place no faith in time!! For the clock may soon be still. (unknown)

Welcome to the forums Steve! Make sure and check the Classic and Vintage sections, it would be a better bet on getting a response to your questions about Classics.
