Looking for a change

Hello everyone. I've started running to get back in shape. I was complaining to a couple of co-workers about some days I just dont feel like running. They said I should get a bike. They are both avid bike riders. Im a big guy at about 6'2 and now 345 lbs.. I was concerned that any bike would be able to hold me up. I loved bmx and mountain biking as a kid, and I knew I would enjoy cycling again. After three months of research I found a used 07 Caonnondale System Six Team edition. It has all 105 components except for the front de-railer its an Ultegra. The wheels are basic shimano wheels. The bike shop I got the bike from didn't have the petals I wanted or shoes in my size, so I bought come bmx flats just so i could take her out for a ride, while my petals and shoes are ordered. I'm looking forward to riding on the road and using another method to get back into shape. I was told that this bike was one of the best frames Cannondale made, but I dunno? Does anyone know if Cannondale has a lifetime warranty on this frame? Well here is a picture of her in my In-Laws garage.

Thanks for letting me introduce myself and I look forward to learning from the forum.

Cheers GrtSaint, welcome to Bike Forums!

People in our Clydesdales / Athenas Forum will have answers regarding durability issues. From what I've understood it's mostly the wheels that you should be concerned about, not so much the frame.

To err is human. To moo is bovine.

Who is this General Failure anyway, and why is he reading my drive?
