Hey Fellow Bikers:
At least I hope to be soon. I live in central Virginia and have discovered a new passion - biking. I am hoping to find a few events to attend this summer/fall. So far I have found 9 that I would like to participate in but first need to get the bike. I am torn currently between a 7.3 FX and 7.6 FX. There is only about $150 difference. I am more concerned about what is the right bike than the dollars. The 7.3 is local and the 7.6 is a closeout at a shop about an hour and half away. That said I worry a little that support will be a little more difficult. Any advice on bike events or purchases will be appreciated.
Thanks,
John

Hi John,
Get the bike from a friendly shop.
They will be quick help for questions, adjustments, and warranty repairs.

Howdy and welcome to the forums! I would ride both see which you like best and purchase it. If the bike you get happens to be at a shop you like then its bonus, if not you can make friends closer to home and shop around for the support services you like best.
