New to the site, and new to livng car free
 

Hey everyone, I recently moved closer to my work, aproxx. 2 minutes on my bike and i live within 5 minutes of everything i need. I hope i can go a while without buying a car so i can save up and get a nice new car ( probably a prius), any way i havent had much time to get on the trails which is the main reason i wanted to get back into riding, I am currently riding a 2010 raleigh talus 5.0. I love this bike, but i am finding i need to adjust my front deruallier (spelling) quite often. which is frustrating cause it takes me hours to get it to where only 70 percent of the gears work, anyway i looking forward to becoming an active member of the this community and learning more about everything bikes.

Hello Christian, welcome to Bike Forums!

Hours of adjusting the derailleur and having only partially functioning gears after that sounds like there's something wrong. Post a question in our Bicycle Mechanics forum. Also check out Parktool site's information about drivetrains, that should help you to diagnose the problem.
