HELLO! New here from Queens, New York and I just bought my first road bike!!
Hi all, my name is Matt and from Queens, New York.
I just recently purchase my first road bike. Before that, I had a mountain bike that was purchased from Toys 'R Us for about $150 when I was in 6th grade. I've recently been getting into cycling and thought it was time to make that big upgrade. I went to my local bike store and they measured me and found a bike that was perfect for me and for what I am using it for.
So here it is, 2011 Jamis Ventura Comp (SUCH A BEAUTY!!)
I ride on Cross Island Pkwy so if anybody else rides there, feel free to say hello if you see me
Edit: The weight difference between my Toys 'R us mountain bike and this Jamis road bike is NIGHT AND DAY!!!!

thanks! i've ridden it for the first time today and it is absolutely fast and light! it's a big difference from toys 'r us bikes.. haha
by the way, i'm looking for a bike hoist to hang the bike on the ceiling. i don't know where to start looking but is there a specific brand that is reliable? I'm not looking to spend much but i'm mainly looking for one that is cheap yet reliable and safe
