Howdy from Indiana
I'm an old retired Army soldier. I just turned 69 and decided I need to start exercising more. I'm in pretty good health and I figure that is due to the Army requiring us to exercise on a regular basis. I used to run every other day but my knees have taken a beating and I need to exercise without causing the impact on my knees.
My old bike is a Raleigh Grand Prix road racer. I know it's pretty much a dinosaur compared to the new options and materials available. I used to ride 50 - 60 kilos a couple of times a week with a bike riding group I belonged to. But I"m now wanting something a little more comfortable to ride.
I'm going to be happy now to ride maybe 20 miles 2 - 3 times a week and maybe get my wife to do some riding with me on some of the new rails to trails that's been built in the area.
So I've just about decided to buy a hybrid bike. I'm looking at a Specialized Crossroads Elite. It's a little over $500 and seems to fit me pretty decent. I also was looking at a Schwinn Voyageur 21, but I think I like the Specialized bike a little betters.
You figure those are fairly decent choices?
John
