Greetings and Salutations from VA
Hello all I am a neophyte to biking. I have checked out this forum for a month and learned a great deal of information. I am 48 and wish to use biking as a way to get in shape and see more of the outside. I brought a used GT Ricochet that is getting checked and tuned for me right now. I hope to use it next weekend on a local bike trail in the area. I got the bike for 50$ of CL, but I all ready have fallen in love with a Trek 7.4 fx at my LBS, for 550$ I was going to get it, but I must insure domestic tranquility....and I really didnt want to sleep in the garage *shrugs* So I will work up to that level of bike.....and it will be my reward one day. Anyways thanks for the welcomes and I will be checking in with reports of my quest and reading allways..... Regards LGR

Welcome to Bike Fourms.
I did the same thing.
Started on a $15 CL bike.
Rode it 1500 miles, got in shape for a new race bike.
