Hi from SA, OZ
Hi there mates,
I am a 30 year old Mother of 2 young boys with no car licence so I ride or walk everywhere. I mainly ride for my hobby - Geocaching. I can be known to do 20km or more on a caching stint but that is usually only once a week IF I can! (both kids are in school and kindy for a whole day once a week so that's my day out!)
I ride a cheap $150 K-mart Mountain Bike but in its 2 years of life with me, I have already done something to the bearings my dad says as they make noises, grrr.
I would class myself as a short distance rider as a big day out like 20-40kms will kill me.
I love riding (just not into a headwind) and I think it's in my genes as my Father rides 40odd kms to work and back everyday and does a 200km round trip off into the wilderness in Australia just for the fun of it. He has ridden from the top of New Zealand to the bottom of both islands for pure enjoyment, not sure I would survive that but I like short stints nonetheless.
Went looking for info about hybrids and other bikes and other info about bikes and stumbled upon this forum so I hope I can find out more. I don't really know much myself as I have always relied upon my dad for info but I suppose I need to learn more if I am to ride it eh?
Anyway, enough rambling, Hi there!!
