Hello From Lexington Kentucky

Hey guys, I'm a50 year old mountain biker that just turned to the road. After 5 years of down time due to divorce and relocating from out west to Lexington, I decided to get back on 2 wheels. But rolling around these country roads on my ole Stumpjumper got old after a couple of hundred miles of being eaten alive by road bikes. So after much research I pulled the trigger on one this past week.

I bought a Cannondale Synapse Carbon 3 Ultegra. I never new riding pavement could be so sweet.

Hello to everyone. Seems like a real nice place to hang out, learn and share the experience.

Hi Gregory,

I Lived in Morehead (about an hour east of Lex if you hadn't heard) right beside cave run lake for about 6 years. I just now moved to Birmingham. If you want some details on a nice 32 mile road ride let me know, I'll make the map in map my ride for you.

It's been really hard to find any trails to ride around here in Lexington which is why I ended up riding my MB on the rode which of course lead to me buying this new Cannondale.

I sure do miss my Santa Barbara and Flagstaff mountain trails as well as my occasional trips to Moab and Gooseberry Mesa.
