newbie from s.e.michigan

hi all I am a daily commuter, about 15 miles round trip. this is the first year of trying to ride in temps below 40F. I enjoy longer weekend rides of 50 mile or more when time permits. also like riding my mountain bike on nearby trails as we have a excellent rails to trails system.

There certainly is a learning curve, when it comes to riding comfortably on the frozen midwestern plains. You should be able to find helpful hints on the winter biking and commuting forums. I hope you have fun!

I am new to commuter biking and I don't ride nearly as far as you do. I thought I'd try riding through the winter to avoid all the germs on public transportation but now, the first day it's 30 degrees, I feel like a coward. What are you wearing to keep warm?
