Amateur cyclist in Seattle
Hello,
I hadn't ridden a bicycle probably since I was 11 (I'm 20 now) until my (ex)boyfriend bought me a $30 Schwinn at Recycled Cycles. At first, I was very nervous and frightened, but after a few months of getting used to it, I took to it like a fish to water. I loved to ride my bike, and it looked cool too with its retro style. Unfortunately, as could be expected from a $30 bike, it started breaking down and the repairs started to cost more than the bike itself. Since the holidays are comming, I asked for a new bike. I can hardly wait.
I joined the forums to get some advise (here is my inquiry: https://www.bikeforums.net/commuting/76003-need-help-deciding-bike.html) and to learn more about bikes. It's really awesome to see how many people are so passionate about cycling. Bicycles really are a fantastic sport/transport/hobby/friend. I hope this site will teach me much more about cycling, encourage my passion for cycling, and help me make some new friends.
