Toronto Commuter
Hi, I'm Rion
I'm 21 years old and I've been riding bikes for about 17 of those years (19 if you count my big wheel) I've been fixing bikes for 15 years and making bikes from junk parts for 10. I've built 2 recumbents by chopping up old frames and adding my own tubes, but nothing too serious. I've recently gotten into bicycle commuting and actually using a bicycle for exercise instead of just ramps and wheelies.
From what I've gathered from lurking the forums for a couple weeks, I would be classified as a Clydesdale rider and I've gone from 6'0" 350lbs to 320lbs in 5 months. despite my weight and knowledge of bicycles, I'm currently riding a SuperCycle SC-1800 (also known as the cheapest bike at Canadian Tire). A slight step up from the triumph challenger (also known as the cheapest bike from walmart) I was riding a month ago before it nearly broke to pieces.
My favorite type of riding is commuting, and I'm currently trying to ride 10-15km a day.
I've recently become interested in Triathlons because biking and swimming are probably my favorite sports, and if I was slimmer, I'd probably like running too. My goal would be to one day do a triathlon; even if it's at the gym in the pool, on the stationary bike, and on the treadmill.
Like I said before, I've been lurking the forums for a couple weeks, but I've finally realized that it's about time I stopped mooching and started contributing to the community

I know a thing or two about bikes, but I plan on going to school next year to take a BAM (bicycle assembly and maintenance) course and becoming a certified bicycle mechanic
