Hello BF, my new BFF!
Hey there BikeForums, I'm a Chicago-based long time cyclist, first time forumist. I've been reading the forums a lot recently, so decided it was time to sign myself up.
For years my ride had been a Trek 820 mountain bike that I purchased new over 15 years ago. Growing up it was a great all-around bike, and ever since I moved to Chicago it served well as a rugged urban ride. For a while I've been thinking of upgrading to a road bike, and recently my trusty Trek was stolen...it looks like it's time to finally pull the trigger.
So now I'm in the market for a (likely used/vintage) road bike. I'll be posting questions, and scouring this site for answers until I find the right cycle...and when I do, I'll probably post some photos.
In the meantime, glad to be here, and see you in the forums.
