Hi guys/gals...

I have been on this site for last couple weeks looking for information for touring (I got plenty good stuffs so far). I am avid mountain biker for the last 10 years and also ride road bike occassionally. I am going to bike from north to south Vietnam pretty soon and very exited about the 1200-mile trip. My friends thought I am nut but I know of guys having heart attacks sitting on the couch watching TVs...so?

My bikes are...but hey who cares??? It's about being out there on your bikes...

I don't believe that you hang with the crowd that's getting heart attacks while watching TV. Viet Nam sounds great. Have you started preperation for this trip? Don't let it slide. I could kick myself for not riding from London to Tehran 15 years ago, when I was able. Now I have Major Childcare Duties. Maybe I'll do something like this with my boys in a few years. We'll start with southern England this year or next, though.

welcome... It's quite funny that I have previously visited your Hollister Hills pictures. I live pretty close to the entrance to the OHV park. Good luck with your trip.

cheers-

Welcome to the forum. Enjoy your trip. I'm not much interested in a return trip to Vietnam. I suppose circumstances there are a bit different than they were when I visited though.

Welcome.

I recently read a tour report by someone who did a similar tour in Vietnam. It took me a few minutes to find the link but here it is, https://www.bicycle-touring.com/

Hopefully this gives you some helpful information. Enjoy your trip!

Hey! I don't have any opinion on Viet Nam. But I'm in San Jose, too, and just wanted to give a neighborly shout out to my homey ("yo!").

What part of SJ are you in? Where do you ride?
