Hi Ron, I have been riding a Trek mountain bike and a Connondale road bike for a couple of years but have recently built a fixie from an old northern star frame. I have exchanged the single gear for a s-ram 5 speed hub. It still has the clean fixie look but is an absolute pleasure to ride. I enjoyed the build as it was like building a hotrod only in much quicker time but very satisfying and I learnt a lot.
