Some Japanese Guy
Hello. Please call me FLUX.
I am some normal Japanese guy living in Hokkaido, Japan. I haven't bought any special bikes before in my life (I only have Granny Bikes). Sorry if my English sucks, but I think it's adequate enough for most people to understand. But in case it's crappy, I apologize beforehand.
I have never really rode a sport bicycle, and I am thinking of getting one very very soon, but to get the best one possible for myself as a person who would use the bicycle for many different use and for relatively very long time, I did so much research on bicycles and parts and manufacture as well as touring and cycling etc. I think I am at least good with information for someone who has never bought a sport bicycle before.
Since I do not have as much money as a College Student, I am only willing to spend good bucks on a bicycle once just for a while. Of course, I could upgrade a bicycle any time as long as I buy the correct types of parts.
In any case, I am stuck on whether I should buy 2012 Giant TCX 2 or 2012 Kona Jake.

Welcome to Bike Forums.
Sounds like a tough choice.
I've owned both bikes (2009 models) and they are both good bikes. I liked the Kona a little better than the Giant. Others will have a different opinion.
Good luck.
