Returning to bike riding since retireing last year. Restoring '80's Cannondale and 2003 Motobecane Mountain bike. Recent purchases include Diamondback Edgewood and Scattante Road bike. Would like to meet up other Orange County California riders for weekday rides. Goal is to drop from 260# to 200# within one year. Love to ride for fun only.

Welcome! 60 lbs in a year is a good goal. My goal is to lose 60 also. I started 2 months ago at 200, down to 178 now. To some 200 is not that bad, but I'm 5'3". Just keep pedaling!

I did 65 miles last week on my comfort bike, but I made some major changes to my diet also. Lots of fruits and vegetables and portion control. I've kind of hit a wall with the weight loss this week, just trying to push through it.

Check out Mapmyride.com It's a good tool for tracking your progress. So far this month I've done 179 miles, rode for 15.28 hours, burned 5294 calories.
