Hello from Austin, Texas
Hello, I'm new to the forum, but not new to mountain biking. I did just upgrade to a newer bike with front suspension and clipless pedals so I feel like my bike is representative of the current decade at least.
Previous Ride: 1993 - Bridgestone MB-5
Current Ride: Brand Spanking New 2005 - GF Tassajara with after market AVID Disc Brakes and Shimano PD-M520 Pedals
In Austin, I like to ride Walnut Creek, Barton Creek Greenbelt, St Edwards and sometimes City Park.

What a coincidence! I was searching the forums for "Walnut Creek" since I live in the neighborhood adjacent to that park and see that not only do you live in Austin and enjoy Walnut Creek, but you also have a GF Tassajara. My wife and I have matching 1995 ('96?) Tassajaras, except ours are hardtails and, um, hardheads.
We (wife and I) have lived next to Walnut Creek since '98 but have only recently discovered what a mtn bike haven it is. Now we feel very guilty and stupid for not taking greater advantage of the park.
Anyway, welcome to the forum (not that I am much of a regular) and happy trails! Maybe we'll see you out there some day.
