Hi
Ive recently returned to cycling after a two year break and decided on touring. To date, my new Dawes Vantage has only done six miles and after the break and 16years of being a smoker (on day no.3 of being a non-smoker) it was a painful six miles lol. However, I loved every minute of it
I'm hoping my first ride in ten years with Bolton Clarion Touring Club this week coming wont kill me and very much looking forward to being healthy again, if not so much young

Welcome aboard Bill! You'll find a lot of reformed smokers here, and attempting to reform smokers like myself! So what kind of bike is a Dawes Vantage? I've had my eye on a dawes SSL for a while now.

The Vantage is the baby/cheapest in Dawes' touring lineup. Very nice bike too I might add
As for the non-smoking, its still hit and miss, had 2 smokes today. It rained so I didnt get out cycling and those days being stuck inside I think will be the hardest. Good luck to you other guys trying to quit
