Hello from Riverside, CA

Hello, good people, and thanks for some very helpful threads I've lurked around.

In the late 70s through about 1995, my bike was my primary vehicle: commuting, grocery shopping, hauling little kids. Then my kids got bigger, but not big enough to keep up; the grocery list got a lot longer; and the commute a lot more complicated, with day care pickups, soccer practices, and occasional late-evening meetings.

But now things are simpler, and my older son's recent tour from San Francisco to Riverside inspired me to get back in the saddle. I'll be checking out the Over 50 Forum and everything about bicycle commuting and using the Metrolink in the Los Angeles area.

Hope my knees are up to it!
