Hi!
I'm a 59 year old newbie....sort of.
My wife and I are trying to get back into cycling. No competitions or anything, strictly casual riding. Personally, I haven't ridden a bike since my teens. Probably so for my wife as well.
I know they're somewhat frowned upon in cycling forums but, I recently picked up a couple of Schwinn Clear Creek Comfort models on half price clearance at a local big box store. With a friends employee discount, I got an extra 20% off the closeout price.
I brought them directly to my local bike shop that currently has a half price spring tuneup/safety check promotion going on. The tech gave 'em a quick look and told me I did good getting both bikes for $160.
Getting them back today and I'm absolutely cranked to get on and start riding!

Hello lapetrarca,
Welcome to Bike Forums.
Your bikes are good for fun.
That is what it is all about anyway.
Ride slow and quit when your butt tells you too.
Check in with The Fifty Plus Forum sometime.
