Hello!

I've been lurking around this forums for some time now and since I find this place to be valuable resource for gathering all kinds of bicycle related information, today I finally decided to join; so hi!

P.S. I'm not native English speaker so I apologize in front if my English isn't or won't be perfect.

I'm from Croatia (kudos to anyone who could find it on a blank map of the world).

I'm currently in the process of acquiring a new bike (well, technically old bike, since I'm looking for a vintage bike I could try to renovate).

That is a fun way to start.

I started on a 23 year old $15 used bike.
Put on two $10 new tires, spent 3 hours cleaning it.
Everyone thought it was brand new.

That's nice looking bike; and yeah, I'm hoping I'll get decent bike appreciably cheaper then it would cost me to buy a decent new one + I'll have the opportunity to actually learn something useful about bike repairing and maintenance.

I rode it 1500 miles, got in shape, and learned that the top tube and crank arms were to short for me.

Bought a new bike on sale and now have 32,000 miles on the new one.

Unfortunately, that's the problem with buying used bikes, I had to miss out on some really nice bikes because size wouldn't fit me and that was quite disappointing.
