I just found this site a couple of days ago. I just recently got interested in biking about the middle of June. I bought a bike for my birthday with my mom's help so that I could get more exercise in my life. I'm a pretty big guy who knows what life was once like being smaller and I'd love to get back below 220.

I am excited for what I can learn from you guys.

Oh and just for those interested, I'm from Whitewater, Wisconsin.

I you are thinking of bikes in the middle of January, you're hooked. What kind of riding do you do? Dare you venture out, in this brutal weather?

Thanks for the welcome guys. I ride a 2004 Raleigh M40. It was the right price for a poor college student. I am thinking of riding, but its all of 1 outside right now. If it ever gets above 20 I might get out again. I really haven't used the bike in about two months now. I'm going crazy.

I mainly use my bike for transportation. I am only one mile from school so its actually faster to ride than take my car and worry about parking. I did some recreational riding over the summer and my longest ride as of yet is 14 miles (I know, but it was a big accomplishment for me).
